I am sincerely hoping that my Bandera neighbors, along with all other voters in our Presidential election, remain alert to the waves of both misinformation and disinformation that will begin rolling over us on election night.
Please try to refrain from passing on “facts” that you hear or read before all the votes are counted. Especially when the news is negative or based on something emotional, like the presence of election interference, please remember that our foreign enemies, especially Russia and China, are trying to create division and chaos by amplifying false narratives.
Your emotional reactions are not going to help us sort through the debris of the unprecedented use of social media to damage our democracy. Please hold back long enough for the dust to settle and don’t stir up more dust yourself. Don’t help Putin with his dirty work!
