Cailoux

Symphony of the Hills will present its annual holiday concert, Glory Hallelujah!, on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Cailloux Theater.

The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m., with a pre-concert wine reception for ticket holders at 6:00 p.m.

“This annual holiday concert brings together in music the wonderful exclamation of the words ‘gloria!’ and ‘hallelujah!’” said Dr. Eugene Dowdy, Conductor and Artistic Director. “The annual sing-along is always a delight. The second half of the concert brings some holiday movie music cheer.”

The program will feature the 75-piece orchestra joined by the Grand Symphony Chorus, conducted by Andrea Runnels, and the Hill Country Chorale, directed by Claire Rabson.

The concert will include Beethoven’s Hallelujah from Christ on the Mount of Olives, Rutter’s Gloria, Wilhousky’s arrangement of Battle Hymn of the Republic, M. Isaacson’s Rhythm of the Lights, Silvestri and Brubaker’s Polar Express Concert Suite, Guaraldi and Pugh’s A Charlie Brown Christmas, and Anderson’s A Christmas Festival.

Seats for the concert are expected to sell out, and tickets can be reserved online at caillouxperformingarts.com or by calling (830) 896-9393 or visiting the Cailloux Theater Box Office, 910 Main, Kerrville. For additional concert details, visit symphonyofthehills.org.

Symphony of the Hills has also announced its upcoming concerts for the new year.
