Medina took to the field in true Bobcat fashion on Friday night in San Marcos defeating the Prairie Lea Indians by a score of 48-0. The Bobcats scored on their first drive of the game to set the tone for the night. A final touchdown with 5:29 left in the third quarter gave the Bobcats the win by mercy rule and earned them the Bi-District Championship. The win advances the Bobcats to the Area Round of playoffs where they will face Jonesboro. The game will be played at Rogan Field in San Saba on Thursday, November 21, at 6 p.m. In other sports news, the Lady Cats began basketball season with a junior varsity and varsity win over the Lady Eagles from Junction on Saturday, November 16th. Final score for the Lady Cat varsity squad was Medina 44, Junction 20.
