December at the Medina Community Library

A fun and busy month is planned at the Medina Community Library.

The festivities will begin on Dec. 5 with the Ladies’ Christmas Craft class at 10:15 a.m.

Participants are required to sign up in advance to ensure there are enough supplies. That evening, at 6 p.m., the Medina Community Christmas will take place.

The event will feature performances by the community choir, followed by a showcase by children from Medina ISD.

After the performances, Santa will visit, and attendees can enjoy crafts and cookies. The evening will conclude with the Community Christmas Open House at The Core.

Grinch in the Garden is scheduled for Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. Readers Rori Flores, Jeremy Stroud, James Fazio, Abby Robertson, Anna Castillo, Travis Klaassen, Lane Dunn, and Jason Duvalle will present the story “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Afterward, there will be crafts and bingo for children.

The Ladies’ Christmas Tea will take place on Dec. 17 at 2 p.m., featuring author Paulette Jiles.

Linda Barton will share a family story, and Colleen Nicholas will read a short Christmas tale. Baked goods will be provided by the ladies of Medina.

The library will also host a winter reading challenge for adults and young adults beginning Dec. 2.

Participants can sign up in person until Dec. 16.
