C om mu n i t y members gathered at the Lakehills Area Library on Saturday, Nov. 16, to craft their own takehome succulent gardens during a special workshop hosted by the library’s Garden Club. The event provided participants with succulent plants, soil, containers, decorative items, and care instructions to create unique arrangements. Attendees were encouraged to bring their own containers or additional decorations to personalize their gardens further. During the event, Garden Club member Suzy Webber assisted Medina resident Vickie Shroyer in selecting compatible succulents for her arrangement, offering tips to ensure the plants would thrive together. Other club members were on hand to help participants pot their succulents and add decorative touches, fostering a collaborative and creative atmosphere. The workshop, part of the library’s annual garage sale, was free and open to the public. Donations collected during the event will support the library’s Teaching Garden, a community project aimed at promoting hands-on horticultural education.
