Alamo RCD Area, Inc. will host its next Senior Assistance Program food distribution on Thursday, Dec. 5, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The event will take place at The Way Church, located at 7789 FM 1283.
This monthly Free Food Pantry operates on a first-come, firstserved basis, with limited supplies available. Each individual must collect their own food unless prior board approval has been granted.
Since the start of the year, Alamo RCD has supported 100 families in Bandera County through this program. The organization extends its gratitude to all donors and volunteers, emphasizing that each family served is a valued part of their mission.
December Activities at The Way Church In addition to the food distribution, several programs are available for seniors at The Way Church:
• Fun & Fitness Class: Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 10:30 a.m.
• Sassy Granny Art Class:
Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 1:30 p.m.
• Social Event: Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. Please note there will be no Lunch & Learn Potluck in December. All supplies for exercise and arts activities are provided.
Registration and Eligibility
Participants must be at least 55 years old and reside in Bandera County. Registration for 2024 is required and can be completed at the door or online.
Support Alamo RCD
Serving 10 counties in Central Texas, Alamo RCD relies on monetary donations to continue providing food assistance. Contributions can be made online at alamorcd.org or by mailing a check to the address listed on the website. As a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, all donations are tax-deductible.
