The Medina Lady Cats and Bobcats basketball teams kicked off their seasons with strong showings at the Natalia Tournament over the weekend.
The Lady Cats secured a third-place finish, while the Bobcats placed fourth.
The Lady Cats earned victories over San Antonio Stacey, Charlotte & Dilley to claim their spot in the top three.
Sophomore Crista Zirkel & senior Hallie Kunz (pictured) were recognized for their efforts, earning All-Tournament honors.
The Bobcats notched wins against Yorktown, 38-33, and Charlotte, 55-38.
Sophomore Zy’Heme Jones (pictured) was awarded All-Tournament for his outstanding performance during the weekend.
Both teams will return to action Thursday, Dec. 12, when they compete in the Medina Athletic Booster Club Tournament on their home court.
