8th Grade A Team
The Bandera 8th Grade A Team secured a hard-fought 2113 victory in one of their toughest games of the season. Adjustments to the defense and a halftime focus on limiting points in the paint proved pivotal. A revised press strategy led to multiple steals and crucial points.
“This game was more than just a win—it was a testament to Bandera’s grit and unity under pressure,” coach Amanda Nelson said.

• Steals: Montelongo 5, Freeman 2, Gomez 2, Rollo 1, Arriola 1, Gracen Spruell 1, Verhey 1. The team will travel to Devine next Monday to take on the Fillies.
8th Grade B Team
The 8th Grade B Team fell to Uvalde 16-9 despite their efforts to close a first-quarter deficit. Struggles to capitalize on scoring opportunities made the difference in the contest.

• Points: Brylee Phillips 4.
• Defensive Highlights: Jazmine Rhodes, Emma Mc Clintock, and Phillips helped limit second-chance points, while Kamilla Vasquez recorded 2 steals.
The Lady Bulldogs now hold a 2-1 record.
7th Grade A Team
The 7th Grade A Team edged out Uvalde in a thrilling 17-16 home opener. Facing a relentless half-court press, the Lady Bulldogs showed resilience and determination, improving their record to 2-1.

The 7th Grade B Team fell to Uvalde 16-10, bringing their record to 1-2. Despite the loss, the team showed perseverance in handling Uvalde’s full-court press.
