The Book Sale is Saturday, January 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the library meeting room. The next Book Sale will be Saturday, Feb. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The library will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24 through Thursday, Dec. 26 for the Christmas Holiday and the staff wishes all a happy and peaceful holiday.
They will also close on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. and all day Wednesday, Jan. 1, to celebrate the New Year.
The Pre-School Story Time is every Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to noon, except there will be no Story Time on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
The Yarn Club is for those who want to learn to crochet, knit, embroider or other hand craft. They meet every Friday, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the library meeting room.
The Evening Book Club will meet Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 5:30 to discuss “The Berry Pickers” by Amanda Peters.
The Christian Classic Literary Book Club meets every first and third Friday, Jan. 3 and Jan. 17, 10 to 11:30 a.m. to discuss “The Screwtape Letters” by C. S. Lewis. For more information, call Linda Williams at 830-688-0560.
The Board meeting is Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 4:30 p.m. The public is welcome.
The Benefits Enrollment Center, brought by Silver Sage, will be available Wednesday, Jan. 8, 10 a.m. to Noon, to provide application assistance for those over 65 or disabled.
The Garden Club will meet Saturday, Jan. 18, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Gwen Lingenfelter, of Gwen’s Garden Goodies, will present the program, “Start Your Seeds Now.” The program is free and open to the public.
The library also hosts an Art in the Library Program and they seek artists of all genres to display their works. Each artist will exhibit for one month. If interested in displaying your art, contact Deb Hicks at deborahhicks1365@ icloud. com.
The library hosts other events and offers many services, such as faxing, copying, laminating, notary, scanning, free Wifi, DVDs, and interlibrary loans. They also offer ebooks, audio books, and large print books. They offer Genealogy, with access to Ancestry.com.
