The Medina Community Library welcomed guests to its annual Ladies Christmas Tea in the Rodney Kamp Pavilion on Saturday, where attendees enjoyed an array of pastries, baked goods, and tea provided by local community members.
The event featured a reading of a family Christmas story written by Linda Barton and read by Jennifer Walker. In a delightful surprise, Colleen Nicholas presented a Christmas book titled Cowboy Night Before Christmas, read by none other than Santa Claus himself.
Following Santa’s reading, Barton introduced New York Times bestselling author Paulette Jiles, who captivated the audience with excerpts from her latest book, Chenville, which is set during the Civil War.
Library reps said the event was met with enthusiasm and joy, thanks to the dedicated volunteers and staff who made the gathering possible.
