Junior Ty Jones delivered a standout performance as the Medina Bobcats continued their undefeated run in district play, securing a 3-0 record and a tie for the top spot.
The Lady Cats are also excelling, holding second place with a 4-1 district record.
The Bobcats began their district schedule during the Christmas break with commanding victories over Rocksprings, Leakey, and Nueces Canyon.
Meanwhile, the Lady Cats bolstered their standings with wins against Rocksprings (37-36) and Leakey (36-23).
Medina also showcased its talent at the annual Concho Basketball Tournament on Dec. 27-28, held in Menard and Eden. The Lady Cats defeated Bronte and Robert Lee, while the Bobcats claimed a win over Eden.
The teams will next take on Utopia at home on Friday, Jan. 10, with games starting at 4 p.m.
