The Lakehills Area Library Garden Club invites gardening enthusiasts to its upcoming presentation, “Start Your Seeds Now,” on Saturday, January 18th, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lakehills Library, located at 7200 FM 1283.
Gwen Lingenfelter, owner of Gwen’s Garden Goodies, will lead the presentation, sharing her expertise on starting seeds indoors for successful transplanting.
Gwen’s gardening journey began on her family ranch near Bandera, where she and her family transformed a challenging landscape of caliche and limestone into a thriving garden oasis.
Today, her property features 17 raised beds for fruits and vegetables, along with dedicated herb planting areas.
Drawing from her experience in soil improvement, pest control, composting, mulching, sowing seeds, and harvesting, Gwen will provide practical advice and step-by-step guidance to help attendees cultivate their own garden success.
Gwen’s preserved garden goods are available at local venues, including Pipe Creek Market Days and the Lakehills Artisan Village & Produce.
This event is free and open to the public. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from Gwen’s wealth of knowledge and kickstart your garden planning for the season.
