The Kerrville Renaissance Festival continues its second of three weekends Jan. 24–25 at the River Star Arts and Events Park.
Now in its ninth year, the festival has expanded its lineup with new acts, activities, and food options. Visitors can enjoy traditional favorites like crepes, turkey legs, and kettle corn, alongside new additions such as Scotch eggs and meat pies.
Refreshments include craft beer, wine, mead, and other beverages.
Entertainment runs nonstop across eight stages, featuring acts like the Bedouin Dancers, Dublin Harpers, Judas and Magnolia escape artists, Tribal Circus, Stargazer Aerials, and the comedic duo Rose and Thorny.
The Vinland Texas Vikings invite families to experience life in a recreated Viking camp, complete with family- friendly shield and sword battles.
Other attractions include a mermaid for photo opportunities, storytellers, pipers, fiddlers, and singers roaming the grounds.
The Renaissance Festival Marketplace offers a variety of handmade goods, from wooden toys and leather accessories to glassware and jewelry.
One of the most popular exhibits, Birds of Prey, showcases live demonstrations of raptors in action, including screech owls and golden eagles.
A new feature this year is the Op Maze, which challenges visitors to navigate themed sections such as Steampunk, Dragons and Knights, and Fantasy.
The festival’s remaining dates are Jan. 25–26 and Feb. 1–2, with gates open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
