8th Grade A Team
In the second round of district play, the Bandera Bulldogs 8th Grade “A” Team faced off against the Carrizo Springs Wildcats.
Despite a hard-fought effort, the Bulldogs fell short with a 30-18 loss. From the opening tip, Bandera focused on tight defense, successfully neutralizing the Wildcats’ key shooters.
The defensive intensity was evident as the Bulldogs employed an effective press, forcing Carrizo Springs into multiple turnovers.
However, the Bulldogs struggled to convert those opportunities into points.
Despite the loss, the team showed great determination and flashes of improvement, particularly in their defense and teamwork.
The effort left coaches and fans optimistic about the progress made and the potential for the final two games of the season.

The 8th Grade B Team lost a close game to Carrizo Springs, 14-12. The Lady Bulldogs trailed Carrizo throughout the game, down 14-8 at the end of the third quarter.
However, behind tenacious defense, Bandera held Carrizo scoreless in the fourth quarter and had several opportunities to take the lead but struggled to convert on offense.
Emma McClintock led the team with 7 rebounds, and six Bulldogs contributed to the scoring.
Lilly Cabrera and Kamilla Vasquez each recorded 5 steals. This loss brings the team’s record to 3-3.
7th Grade A Team
The 7th Grade A Team put up a strong fight against Carrizo Springs on Monday night.
The game remained close until the fourth quarter, when Carrizo Springs took the lead.
The Bulldogs fought back, narrowing the gap, but ran out of time, losing 31-24. The team’s record now stands at 3-3.
