The Medina High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter excelled at the Region V Leadership Conference in Corpus Christi, with several students earning top honors and advancing to the state competition.
The event, which brought together more than 2,000 students from across the region, featured competitions in areas such as baking and pastry, sports nutrition, and leadership.
Medina’s competitors demonstrated outstanding skills, with multiple students placing in their respective categories.
State Qualifiers
• First place – Cody Boatman, Gaige Pitts and Anthony Silva, Spotlight on Projects – FACTS
• First place – Kloe Crowther, Teach or Train (Level 2)
• Third place – Rylan Mills, Food Innovations (Level 3)
• Third place – Charles Baker, Nick Lichtenberg and Cody Swinney, Sports Nutrition (Level 3)
• Fourth place – Sienna Carter and Mia Garcia, Focus on Children (Level 3)
Special Recognitions
• Ella Castillo took the stage as Texas Region V FCCLA's vice president of public relations.
• Audrey Gatlin served as an FCCLA voting delegate and participated in Spotlight on Projects – Community Service.
• Kaitlynn Forste and Mason Chamberlain competed in National Programs in Action.
• Brooke Mancha and Ahnika Grassie contributed as event photographers.
FCCLA, a national career and technical student organization, focuses on leadership, career preparation, and community impact through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
Since its founding in 1945, it has empowered students to make a difference in their families, careers, and communities.
The Medina FCCLA chapter is proud of its students' achievements and looks forward to their success at the state competition.
