Special to the Bulletin
Art enthusiasts will want to head to the Museum of Western Art on Saturday, Feb. 22nd.
A special one-day event will be held with dozens of framed and unframed western-themed prints, giclees, lithographs, posters and more for sale. Darrell Beauchamp, Executive Director of MoWA, says, “We’ve cleaned out our closets and are selling pieces we no longer have room for or those that are duplicates of art we already own. One of these works are original or from our permanent collection” Prices will range from $20 to above $100.
“This art is “priced to sell,” Beauchamp says, adding that. “Some of the frames are worth more than the actual art.”
He says the subjects vary, but many are of western landscapes, Native Americans and livestock on the range.
The sale will last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Museum of Western Art, 1550 Bandera Highway, Kerrville.
