It is countdown to Christmas folksm so be ready. We have the cookbooks for all the cookies, family dinners and even craft cocktails. We have tons of Christmas movies on DVD for cuddling up on the couch and having a quiet night in.
We have so many Christmas themed mysteries, romances, even Westerns — everyone is sure to find a festive, holiday-themed read to suit whatever their reading tastes are. And we also have Christmas-themed programming.
Come out on Friday, Dec. 15, when we have our next Crafting Make-and-Take event from 2 to 5 p.m. We will be making Simmer Pots which are all-natural, DIY potpourri for your home. Come and learn how to combine the ingredients. You can use the recipe for making easy, inexpensive and most of all lovely presents for your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors.
Did you know that your library card gives you access to thousands of digital titles through the Libby app? As a member of the Bandera Library, you can check out eBooks and audiobooks which download instantly to your phone or eReader.
The titles can be renewed and will be returned automatically after the twoweek check out period, so you don’t even have to worry about late fees. Here’s a tip from one of our patrons — download an audiobook to listen to while you’re in the hunting blind. Just use one earbud and you’re good to go! Stop by the library to get all the information you need to get to using Libby. It’s easy and free.
Holiday hours are coming up. We will be closed for Christmas beginning Saturday, Dec. 23 and will reopen on Wednesday, Dec. 27.
On behalf of everyone here at the Bandera Library, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays! We hope that your holiday is full of good cheer.
The Bandera Kronkosky Public Library is open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Curbside service is available upon request. Free Wi-Fi is available 24/7.
