The Bandera County Farm Bureau sponsored the annual Ag Day for Bandera 4th graders at Mansfield Park on Thursday, March 13.

Over 200 4th graders from Hill Country Elementary and Alkek Elementary came to view the presentations given by local ag enthusiasts.

The day was cool and sunny, perfect for youngsters to view the presentations on beekeeping, cattle agribusiness, electricity, angora goat fiber production, cotton ginning, horse shoeing, Texas wildlife, dairy farming, and agriculture machinery.

Local experts gave detailed overviews of their avocations in 20 minute segments. After the presentations, the students settled down to a picnic lunch.

Teachers accompanied them to each presentation and helped organize the students.
