The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal crash that occurred April 10 at approximately 2:02 p.m. on State Highway 16 South near Purple Sage Road, across from the Bandera Landing strip.
“Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 was traveling southbound on SH-16 when a 1999 Toyota Tacoma pulled onto the roadway from a private drive and collided with the Dodge,” Sgt. Deon Cockrell told the Bulletin. “As a result of the crash, the driver of the Toyota was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The Bandera County Sheriff’s Office and Bandera County EMS also responded.
“We assisted them with scene and traffic control,” Sheriff Josh Teitge said.
DPS' investigation is ongoing.
