The Banchers and Landowners Association of Texas recently announced its annual meeting for members will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. in the BEC Community Boom, 3172 Hwy 16 N. in Bandera.
“We are so excited to have set the date for our annual members meeting,” stated BLAT President Don Phillips. “The program we are planning promises to be one of great interest to our members and potential members. We look forward to announcing the details of the January program in the weeks ahead.”
Besides having a guest presenter, other items on the Jan. 20 agenda include an overview of the events since the last members meeting, a review of current finances, the election of one board member and an open discussion for membership growth and ideas moving forward.
All BLAT members, as well as any interested parties, are invited to attend the meeting.
“One of the great surprises of this past year has been the rise in memberships from counties who are not so nearby — as well as some out-of-state members who either own property in the area or who just believe in what we are trying to do in terms of landowners’ property rights,” said Phillips.
The meeting will conclude with a door prize drawing for a $100 gift card from members in attendance.
BLAT was formed in 2002 to address the concerns of property owners, with a focus on property rights, law enforcement, providing cash rewards involving crimes against members’ property and supporting youth programs.
