Triple H Equitherapy Center will host its inaugural Cowboy Derby Day fundraiser on Saturday, May 3, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at its facility located at 791 Backhaus Road in Pipe Creek.
Billed as a family-friendly celebration of horse-riding excellence, the event aims to raise funds for the organization’s herd of therapy horses, which assist children, teens, adults, and veterans dealing with physical and mental challenges.
The afternoon will culminate in a livestream viewing of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. Leading up to the race, guests can enjoy a full slate of festivities under the center’s new arena cover.
Activities include an opening ceremony featuring a presentation of colors and a drill team performance by The Country Church Buckaroos, as well as bluegrass and country music by Lew Pewterbaugh.
The event will also offer complimentary Kentucky Derby- inspired hors d’oeuvres, mint juleps, a best hat contest, a silent auction, and family- friendly games, prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
Attendees will also have the chance to meet some of Triple H’s therapy horses.
