COMMISSIONER INVOLVED IN CRASH THAT LEFT UTOPIA MAN DEAD
Shame on you Bandera Bulletin for running this suggestive headline! Poor choice of words as usual!

I was disappointed to see the headline used for your recent article regarding the tragic accident involving Commissioner Troy Konvicka. The title—“Commissioner involved in crash that left 78-year-old Utopia man dead”—is misleading and unfairly implies wrongdoing on the part of the commissioner.
For readers who only see the headline, this framing can easily lead to incorrect assumptions about fault or intent, which is both irresponsible and potentially damaging to those involved. The article itself provides context that the commissioner was not at fault according to preliminary findings. This should have been reflected more accurately and sensitively in the headline.
Please consider the impact your words have on individuals and families during difficult times. I urge you to take greater care in how such stories are presented. We expect better from our local news sources.

Its really not misleading at all let dps conclude their investigation no one knows exactly how fast he was going or if he was going the speed limit even if the other vehicle pulled out in front of him there is lots of factors and all those findings will be included from each vehicle onboard systems I see nothing wrong with the headline or article.
