The Bandera County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 27-year-old man who disappeared Monday evening from the Bandera Falls subdivision.
Christian Kaleb Pearson, who goes by Kaleb, was last seen leaving his home and walking into the wooded area behind the residence, officials said.
According to a Facebook post from Bandera County Sheriff Josh Teitge, a shotgun was discovered missing from the home, but authorities have not confirmed whether Pearson has the weapon.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Pearson suffers from depression and may be suicidal. While he is not believed to pose a threat to the public, officials urge anyone who sees him not to approach and to call 911 immediately.
Deputies are operating in the area of FM 1283 and English Crossing as part of the search.
Teitge said there is no danger to citizens and no cause for alarm, though residents should expect a heightened law enforcement presence throughout the day.
Anyone with information about Pearson’s whereabouts is asked to contact Bandera County Sheriff’s Office dispatch.
