Sylvia Fritz Dobbs and David Fritz credit the generosity of their customers, business partners and friends for making their 50th Anniversary VFD Fundraiser a big success.
In May, Mini Mart launched its 50th celebration with an exhibit of photographs highlighting local, volunteer firefighters in each of their 18 Mini Mart stores.
“It was no surprise that people responded favorably to giving to the Volunteer Fire Departments,” said Sylvia. “This is what neighbors in the Hill Country do, we care and support one another.”
Because of the many donors who gave with their heart, $119,000 – the total amount raised for the VFDs — will be distributed among the following counties: Kerr County — $75,000, Kendall County — $8,000, Bandera County — $16,000 and Gillespie County — $20,000.
“As 2023 and Mini Mart’s 50th Anniversary comes to an end, we wish to acknowledge our team and our customers for making Mini Mart a part of their daily routine. It’s why we celebrated 50 years in business,” said Sylvia and David.
