Every Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., Ms. Dianna reads to the pre-school kiddos, leading them in songs and crafts. However, due to the New Year holiday, there will be no Storytime for the kiddos on the Wednesday, Jan. 3. Storytime will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 10:30.
The library will be closed Monday, Jan. 1 to celebrate the New Year. The book sale will resume on Saturday, Jan. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon, in the conference room.
The Board meets Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 4:30 p.m. The public is welcome.
In the Healthcare Marketplace, healthcare assistance will be offered on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The Smartphone Class will be held on Monday, Jan. 8, and Jan. 15, from 11 a.m. to noon.
The Evening Book Club will begin again on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 5:30 p.m. They will discuss “Mad Honey” by Jodi Picoult.
The Garden Club will meet on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m.
The newest program offered is free to the public but you must reserve your space. It’s called Fresh Start to a Healthier You. Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m., it will feature a three week series. It is sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. Call or go by the library to sign up now.
The library seeks funds to improve the surface of the community walking track. Donate by check, card or cash at the desk, or online at the website. Call for more information.
To show support for the library, patrons can purchase T-shirts. Coming in two styles, adult and kids sizes, and multiple colors, they can be ordered at the desk.
