The Bandera County Republican Women recently announced that Darcy Hasty was chosen as the next President of the Bandera County Republican Women.
Hasty issued the following statement to the Bulletin: “I want to share my excitement in being elected President of the Bandera County Republican Women!
The most exciting part is that as far as anyone can recall, I am the youngest ever elected to this position!
So as the youngest woman ever elected president of the BCRW, I’d like to cordially invite each of you to come to one of our meetings.
Our meetings occur the first Thursday of each month at the Silver Sage located at 803 Buck Creek Dr. Bandera, Tx 78003 and beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Our first event of the year will be the “Chill and Grill, Meet the Candidates” Event being held at the Silver Sage at 803 Buck Creek on Feb. 1, also beginning at 5:30 p.m.
All candidates that are contested are invited to set up a table and hand out fliers, signs and other materials. Voters are welcome to come and enjoy food, drinks, meet your candidates face to face, ask questions one on one and shake hands in an informal environment.
The BC Republican Women will be very active over the next 2 years. Your leadership team wishes to be active in the community and take the
stuffiness out of politics. We want to bring your representatives to you and ensure they hear your voice.
We also want to participate in our community. Look for our bake sales so we can send your child or grandchild to college or to the trade school of their choice with a $1,000 scholarship!
Look for our pop-up red canopy at most county-wide functions so we can get you registered to vote or an address change on your voter card (it does matter)!
Our membership dues are cheap and it’s a heck of a deal if you bring your spouse and you both join! You do not have to be a woman to attend our meetings or to join.
It doesn’t matter if you are young like me or older and wiser like those I surround myself with, we need you too!”
