The Kerrville Renaissance Festival 2024 opens its gates this Saturday and Sunday, starting a three-weekend run of Renaissance fun, entertainment, food, crafts, games and general merriment.
The event takes place at the River Star Arts and Events Park on the grounds of the Hill Country Youth Event Center, 3785 TX-27, Kerrville, with free onsite parking.
Gates are open Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Dates are Jan. 20, 21; Jan. 27, 28; and Feb. 3, 4.
Eight stages of entertainment feature both returning and new acts, including dancers, battlers, musicians, magicians, jugglers and contests, plus Last Chance Forever, The Bird of Prey Conservancy.
Renaissance Festival Marketplace offers more than 30 shops offering handmade crafts such as wooden toys, leather accessories, clothing, hats, glassware, jewelry and more.
At the Food Court, guests can indulge in offerings such as funnel cake, cinnamon-roasted nuts, crepes, turkey legs, kettle corn, jerky, spaghetti cones, mac n cheese brisket. The festival now features a diverse selection of Mead, Wine, Ciders and Mixed Drinks, including Pirate Rum Punch and Bloody Marys.
