Stanley Howard Kendrick, 77, of Bandera, went home to be with our Lord and his wife on Jan. 26, 2024. He was born in Rutherfordton, NC to Robert Edward Kendrick and Evelyn Lee Harriss Kendrick on Nov. 18, 1946. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Pember on April 6, 1966.
He graduated from Bandera High School in 1965. In his early years, he was active in football and rodeo. He spent time working as a Livestock Inspector for the Texas Animal Health Commission and as a pipeline welder, but his true passion was being a ranch cowboy. In 1997, Stan and Shirley moved to the Turkey Track Ranch in Southeast New Mexico where they spent almost 20 years manning the 181 section working cattle ranch. Upon returning to Texas in 2016, after their retirement, Stan and Shirley enjoyed trapping and helping with the family livestock.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Shirley.
He is survived by his son, Michiel Kendrick, and wife, Stacy; daughter, Leela Tondre and Chuck; grandchildren, Stephanie Carr, and husband Daniel, Michele Good, and husband Cody, Samantha Tondre, and Charlie Tondre; great-grandchildren, Roxin Carr and McKenna Carr.
Visitation will be on Feb. 2, 2024, at Grimes Funeral Chapels from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels on Feb. 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Pipe Creek Cemetery.
