The Texas Master Naturalist Hill Country Chapter is busy planting native trees. The chapter thanks the Apache Corporation of Houston, Texas for their donation of 100 trees. Our members built wire enclosures to protect the young trees and are planting them in several hill country counties.
The Texas Master Naturalist and the Apache Corporation believe that the trees benefit us, wildlife and the environment. Trees improve the air we breathe, provide food, shelter and help reduce soil erosion.
