The Women of Grace Lutheran Church recently completed, with God’s blessings, 78 quilts and 16 lap quilts.
The quilts were blessed at Grace Lutheran Church on Sunday, Oct. 22.
The quilts were delivered to Lutheran World Relief via a trip to Fredericksburg on Oct. 31.
Lutheran World Relief distributed its first quilts in 1945 to families in war-torn Europe. Lutheran World Relief Mission Quilts are a tangible way to express neighborly love to people in need.
Every year, LWR delivers tens of thousands of quilts worldwide. Quilts can be used as warm bedding, tents, floor coverings or room dividers.
The Women of Grace also completed 16 lap quilts which were delivered to both of our local Bandera rest homes to bless and comfort the residents.
We will continue to quilt every Wednesday morning in November from 9-10:30. ALL are welcome.
At 10:30-11:30 a.m., we have Bible Study followed by lunch at a local establishment or we have ladies’ luncheon.
We are studying the Bible Project with an emphasis of understanding the main tenants of each book of the Bible.
We will be working on the Book of Ruth in November.
Please come and join us for not only enhancing Bible knowledge but for true Christian fellowship with women of faith.
