After three weeks of service that kicked off with a dozens-deep line, Amish Country Donuts food truck departed the Cowboy Capitol of the World.
The Ohio-based trailer touched down in Bandera once again, bringing their hot, sugary, delicious, oversized Amish treats to the area.
'We have been very busy and had good business in Bandera,” remarked Kristina Yoder. “We have served a lot of new friends and some return customers.'
The truck parked at the old tire shop in Bandera across from Five Points Market starting Friday, Feb. 16, posting their schedule online a few days at a time.
Orders were taken on a first-come-first-served basis.
While this reporter stopped for a quick picture, the service line grew to include a grey-haired cowboy, a teen in pajama pants and a jeans-clad mom who alighted from a jacked pickup truck.
Seems everybody in Bandera comes out for the scrumptious pastry available only once a year.
“Texas, thank you for a wonderful 3 weeks,” read a post from the business on Facebook. “Great customers, beautiful weather, amazing support and sweet friendships are why we keep coming back! Until next time!”
