The public library in Bandera depends on the Friends of the Library to help with the purchase of new books, and periodicals.
This past year, the Friends of the Library purchased 623 new books for the adult collection, 475 children’s and teen books, 144 large print and Western books and 20 periodical subscriptions.
The Friends of the Library donated 1262 items to the library for the public to enjoy.
The Kronkosky Library in Bandera sponsors a variety of weekly events and meetings like the Watercolor Class, the Pokemon League, Story Time, Girls Who Code, Book Club, and the Country Music Group.
The Friends of the Library ask for your assistance to keep our library stocked with current adult and children’s books, audio books, large print books, periodicals, etc. The county does not fund any of these items.
The Friends of the Library was established to raise funds for the library collection. It also seeks to increase public awareness of the library and its many services.
Annual membership to the Friends of the Library starts at $5 for students under 18 years of age and goes up to $500 to be a Platinum Patron.
