The Annual Lakehills Area Library Fundraiser Dinner invites everyone for a meal of King Ranch Chicken, with beans, cornbread, salad, and beverage for $12 per plate. Homemade desserts will be available for $3 each.

The event will be held at the Lakehills Community Center, 11,225 PR 37, on Saturday, April 13.

The doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the meal will be served at 5:00 until 6:30.

There will be a silent auction and a Pick-A-Prize Raffle drawing. Raffle tickets are now available at the library for $5 each or five for $20. The raffle items are: Weber Smokefire II Pellet Grill, donated by Boyle’s True Value; Concrete Hose Pot, donated by RMC Productions; and a $250 Visa Gift Card.

There will be no April Book Sale as the library is gearing up for the fundraiser. The May Book Sale will be Saturday, May 4.

The BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) Book Club, will meet Tuesday, April 16, 1 to 2 p.m. A recommendation was made for Stories for Nighttime and Some for the Day by Ben Loory.

Another interesting book is Lincoln’s Mothers by Dorothy Clarke Wilson. All are welcome to discuss all things bookish.

The Evening Book Club will meet Tuesday, April 23, at 5:30 p.m. They will discuss Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.
