County Auditor Darryl Sadler presented the annual report of the County’s garbage collection stations at the March 28 Bandera County Commissioners’ Court.
“This is the review of last fiscal year’s revenue versus expenditures,” said Sadler, explaining last year showed had a loss of $40,000 versus this year’s net gain of $25,000.
“Ya’ll implemented different things, put up signs, started compacting the trash. I’d say that’s paying off,” he said.
Sadler said Lakehills Hills lost the most amount, but did less than did before.
He also noted Pipe Creek received the most revenue.
“Bandera came in a pretty close second, but Bandera is also still taking the county trash, so the fact is that they did well, while also taking in county trash, which we get no money from, we just pay money for from the Bandera County government,.” Sadler said.
Sadler noted that the county is getting interest on the fund balance.
