To the Author of the Letter 'GOP April Meeting' I was sorry to see you upset by the lack of attendees at the last meeting.
It was kind of Mr. Harper to attend the meeting to attempt to prepare the delegates and alternates for the state convention. But is there a reason why one was late? People have problems. Is there another, maybe good, reason why others did not even attend?
Many have been made fun of, falsely accused of things they would never do and even expelled from the meetings. Do you think that would inspire confidence?
Mr. Harper's advice was very basic, even bordering on juvenile. He spent a long time on how to find housing and where to eat and at which area to go to obtain the most political swag. Although the questions were asked, he never answered. 'How do you know the right people or things to vote for?'
He never mentioned how the more experienced my try to get the rookies to follow them, even deceiving them to vote in a liberal manner. He didn't tell them to stay until the very last minute because some of the most important things may be introduced late on Saturday because many people leave and they can get their agenda through.
We have been to many state conventions and realize the terrible emotional and spiritual battles that transpire. The best preparation is to trust in God, pray for wisdom and strength, and be kind but firm with your vote. It is very valuable. Don't sell it or give it away.
Think about that!
