LETTER TO THE EDITOR

A recent opinion letter reads, 'the inviolable separation of church and state is essential.... if the Constitution means anything'.

A recent opinion letter reads, 'the inviolable separation of church and state is essential.... if the Constitution means anything'.

The U.S. Constitution never mentions one word about 'separation of church and state.”

That term is definitely NOT 'inviolable' based on any reading of the constitution.

It appeared in a private letter written by T. Jefferson while expressing his personal opinion.

The political left frequently misuses the term to further their socialist agenda.

Attempting to associate 'separation of church and state' with a Constitution which never mentions it is frequently done to mislead us.
