Locals graduate Schreiner, receive spring honors

Five Bandera County locals received their degrees earlier this month from Schreiner University in Kerrville on May 9.

Five Bandera County locals received their degrees earlier this month from Schreiner University in Kerrville on May 9.

Samuel Grodman of Bandera graduated with a BS in Exercise Science-Fitness and. Wellness.

Cassandra Rangel of Bandera graduated with a BS Public Health.

Chad Flood of Medina graduated with a BS in Nursing.

Zachary Lyman of Medina graduated with a BS in Communications.

Finally, Aaron Dupree graduated with a BS in Cellular Biology.

A total of 172 graduates received their degrees during this term.

Two weeks later, the university released the names of students who had made it to the President’s and Deans’ List.

Cassandra Rangel of Bandera, Chad Flood of Medina and Zachary Lyman of Medina made the Dean’s List for the spring.

Lauren Benedict and Ayden Christy of Pipe Creek were named to the Dean’s List.

To be eligible for the President’s List, full-time students must earn at least a 4.0 grade point average for the term, passing all classes, and have at least 12 hours credit for the term.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, a full-time student must have passing grades in all courses and must earn at least a 3.50 grade point average and at least 12 hours credit for the term.

Schreiner University is an independent coeducational liberal arts university related by choice and by covenant to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
