Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District (BCRAGD) is reporting dangerous e. coli levels at Bandera CIty Park at City Park at Hwy 173 and First Street.
June 11’s sampling at Hwy 173 showed a level of 436 Most Probable Number (MPN) while the First Street testing returned a result of 722 MPN.
The standard set by TCEQ designates anything over 399 MPN as unsafe.
“No one should participate in activities that could result in the total submersion of the head under water if counts exceed the 399 MPN standard,” read a release from BCRAGD.
BCRAGD’s full report of samples conducted throughout Bandera County is available on their Facebook as well as bcragd. org, which also includes an interactive map of sampling results.
