Bandera Electric Cooperative (BEC) recently unveiled the appointment of Stephanie Pankratz as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Stephanie Pankratz joined BEC in 2013 as an accountant. In her new role as CFO, Pankratz will represent the cooperative in all financial management and accounting matters, including oversight of warehouse and inventory services.
“During her tenure at BEC, Pankratz has been instrumental in growing and improving financial reporting and budgeting processes and supporting the strategic vision and goals of the cooperative,” read a statement from BEC.
Before joining BEC, she earned her Bachelor of Accountancy from Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas. Pankratz spent five years in public accounting at BDO USA and has held six titles in accounting at BEC.
BEC says she joined BEC to be more involved in her community and work in an industry where the people are proud of their work.
“Stephanie has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and financial acumen throughout her time at BEC,” said Bill Hetherington, CEO of BEC. “Her dedication to excellence and her comprehensive understanding of our financial operations make her the ideal choice for this role. We look forward to her continued contributions in driving our cooperative forward.”
Pankratz said she feels honored to be entrusted with the position and looks forward to continuing BEC’s mission and goals.
“My career has been exciting and transformative so far,” says Pankratz. “I’ve seen the addition of Apolloware, Energy Saver Program, fiber internet, and so much more to help expand what’s possible for our membership. I look forward to growing the skillset of my team and helping to find savings for the members wherever I can.”
