Schreiner University will kick off its “Tour of Texas,” a statewide series of community engagements, with a family event at The Trailhead Beer Garden on its Kerrville campus, on Friday, August 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The public is invited to this free gathering to hear from the new Schreiner University head football coach, Kenny Treschitta.
Attendees also will enjoy a variety of food trucks, sno-cones, and drinks, while connecting with fellow alumni, students and supporters.
Live music will be provided by the Dawson Hollow Band, an American Indie-Folk-Rock band from the Ozark Mountains that fuses pop, strings, Americana, and 5-part harmonies.
They have been touring and recording together since 2001.
The Tour of Texas will take Schreiner University on the road, bringing similar campaign events and alumni socials to cities across Texas, according to Danielle Jenschke, Director of Development.
“We are thrilled to launch Schreiner University’s Tour of Texas, bringing Schreiner to communities across the state,” Jenschke said. “This tour is a unique opportunity to connect with our community, alumni, supporters, and current and prospective students, sharing the spirit and vision of Schreiner. We invite everyone to celebrate our university’s past, present, and future.”
