The Hill Country Professional Child Care Providers Conference is set for Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at the Gillespie County Extension Office in Fredericksburg.
The conference will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 38 Business Ct.
Sessions will address a range of topics including Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Abusive Head Trauma (Shaken Baby Syndrome), character- building through children’s literacy, disaster and emergency planning for child care providers, the importance of outdoor play, turning weaknesses into strengths, and nutrition guidelines.
Albert Wright, trainer, author and host of “2 Minutes with Albert,” will deliver the keynote address.
The registration fee is $50 if postmarked by Aug. 16, and $75 for late registrations. The fee includes five clock hours of training credit.
