The Hill Country CattleWomen (HCCW) have awarded scholarships to area youth since 1990 with the purpose of building an awareness of the beef industry and the essential products it provides for the consumer.

The Hill Country CattleWomen (HCCW) have awarded scholarships to area youth since 1990 with the purpose of building an awareness of the beef industry and the essential products it provides for the consumer.

We are active in beef promotion, legislation and education, with education being the foundation of these goals.

Scholarships originally only given to college juniors and seniors have in recent years been expanded to include career technology (trade) training and graduating high school seniors.

The addition of the Hill Country Cattle-Women Charitable Foundation in 2024 further allows the organization to continue to grow its scholarship funds.

This year, $30,000 was awarded to nine college and high school students chosen from the fourteen counties we serve.

Students were selected based on predetermined criteria including scholastic achievement, extracurricular participation, and community service with an emphasis on Ag related activities and awards and a future Ag related college or trade school course of study.
