The August Book Sale will be Saturday, August 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the September Book Sale will take place on Saturday, September 7, during the same hours.
The Pre-School Story Time will resume on Wednesday, September 4, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The library director is taking a break during August.
The library is sponsoring “Funding by the Foot,” a community walking track fundraiser, to provide a long-lasting walking surface for our community. Contact the library for more information.
To celebrate National Breastfeeding Month the library is hosting a free community event, an Open House, on Monday, August 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All are welcome to stop by and learn about the health benefits of nursing your baby. The BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) Book Club, will meet Tuesday, August 13, 1 to 2 p.m. A book highly recommended at the July meeting was “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” by Barbara Robinson. All are welcome to discuss all things bookish.
The Evening Book Club will meet Tuesday, August 27, at 5:30 p.m. They will discuss “The Light of Luna Park” by Addison Armstrong, as well as other books members have read.
The Board will meet on Wednesday, August 14, at 4:30 p.m. The public is welcome.
The Benefits Enrollment Center will be available Wednesday, August 14, 10 a.m. to noon. Sponsored by Silver Sage and the National Council on Aging, they provide application assistance for those over 65 or disabled.
The Garden Club will meet on Saturday, August 24, at 11 a.m., in the library’s Reference Room.
The library is hosting Community Conversation, on August 12 and 28, at 10:30 a.m. They would like to get feedback and suggestions on areas of interest and improvement from the public. The events will be held in the meeting room; coffee and doughnuts will be provided.
The library will close Saturday, August 31 through Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day.
