Two Bandera High School art students qualified for the state Visual Art Scholastic Event, or VASE, competition at the regional VASE contest held in Bandera on Feb. 8, Bandera Independent School District officials said. The state qualifiers were ninth grader Braden Cox in Art I and Taylor Brown, a senior in Art III. Regional winners from Bandera High were Gabby Leyva, Briana Lloyd, Amalia Heinen, Makayla Reid, Halee Konvicka and Dominique Sadler.
