The city of Bandera, known as the “Cowboy Capital of the World,” will celebrate legendary Texas songwriter Robert Earl Keen on Saturday, September 7, with a special event marking the 30th anniversary of his iconic album Gringo Honeymoon.The celebration will include a ceremony honoring Keen with a branding iron from the city, a proclamation from the Governor of Texas, and stories shared by special guests.The event will also feature a recreation of the Gringo Honeymoon album cover in front of the 11th Street Cowboy Bar, which has been restored to its original 1994 appearance for the occasion.“Robert Earl Keen has ...
