On March 31, 2021 Bandera Electric Cooperative (BEC), the Bandera-based electric company, announced the ten area students that were recently selected as recipients of the BEC Scholarship. Each winner will be awarded $2,500 for the 2021-2022 school year. The scholarship was offered to full-time students who plan to attend or who are currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university, junior college or Texas Education Agency-approved technical trade school that offers an associate degree.
