Coat drive returning
Disclosure: The Bulletin was a participant in last year’s event and plans to do so again this year.
A second annual Coat Drive is in the works from the Bandera County Democrat Club and the Bandera County Republicans to benefit the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic and Bandera County Helping Hand.
The collection once again seeks new or gently used coats, hats, scarves and gloves to be distributed at no charge to those in need.
“Your donations last year helped so many, but the need is still here,” said organizer Essie Stewart.
Stewart stressed there is a special need for youth items this year.
“As you know, they usually outgrow their clothes, coats and shoes long before they outwear them,” she said.
More information regarding specific drop off locations and dates will be announced at a future date, but event organizers are asking the community to start gathering potential donation items.
