Bandera residents whose residences have addresses that can’t be clearly seen from the street are being notified by city officials that those addresses need to be updated to conform with a two-year-old city ordinance. Officials have not met much resistance to those demands so far, Bandera City Council learned last week.
Council members in reviewing the section of City Ordinance 342 governing house numbers at their Thursday, Jan. 16, meeting also learned that the city has the authority to fine property owners up to $500 if they refuse to meet the addressing standards set by ordinance.
