Calling all gingerbread bakers! A free Gingerbread Workshop will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon at the American Legion in Bandera.
The workshop, led by retired BISD teacher Sara Sandifer and sponsored by the Bandera General Store, will offer tips and demonstrations to help participants craft winning gingerbread houses for the annual Gingerbread Contest.
Participants will get hands-on practice and design ideas for their gingerbread creations, which they will complete at home.
Entries for the contest are due on Dec. 1, and public voting will determine the winners.
Gingerbread houses will be displayed at the Bandera General Store from Dec. 1 through Dec. 14, with winners announced at noon on Dec. 14.
