A head-on collision between two cars which occured south of the intersection of Highway 16 N and FM 2828 just before 7:30 a.m. March 27 resulted in a vehicle fire and one death. Bandera County Chief Deputy Matt King said a 55-year-old male driver of a truck struck another car, causing the two vehicles' front left bumpers to collide. King said the collision caused the car to go underneath the truck, and the truck itself caught fire. The truck driver was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
